CHALLENGE:

A pipeline construction company that specializes in new construction, maintenance, and emergency repair services of gas and liquid pipeline systems was installing 30" pipe on a 40-mile spread in Texas. The company found the current grinding wheels were glazing over, and operators were chipping the wheels with a file to get them to cut. With over 40 welders and helpers working six days a week, safety and productivity are always top-of-mind. They also commented that Tiger ran smooth and didn’t chatter or jump out of the bevel like other wheels. Finally, Tiger lasted longer, grinding 29% more than any other wheel tested.
