Cutting-edge abrasive products designed for superior performance to help users produce their best work
MARIBOR, Slovenia — July 15, 2025 — Weiler Abrasives, a leading producer of abrasives and power brushes for surface conditioning, is excited to announce upgrades to its dependable lineup of Toroflex 2.0 cutting and grinding wheels and flap discs. Designed for a wide range of requirements in the metal fabrication and construction industries, the new Toroflex Ceramic 2.0 wheels and flap discs help cut through inefficiencies, safety issues and labor shortages that prevent companies from doing their best work.
New Toroflex Ceramic 2.0 cutting wheels and grinding wheels offer a superior combination of life and cut rate for maximum productivity. The unique design leverages innovative new ceramic grain technology that cuts extremely cool and removes material effortlessly while providing exceptional control for an improved user experience. Extensive testing shows the new ceramic wheels deliver industry-leading product life while providing fast cutting speed. As a result, operations can get more work done with the new ceramic wheels from Weiler Abrasives. These wheels are also contaminant-free, so they are safe to use on high-value stainless steel parts.
“The formulation of our new Toroflex 2.0 wheels makes the difference in overall performance. This was about more than adding innovative abrasive grains — this was about rethinking the entire formulation,” said Valentina Prapotnik, product manager, Weiler Abrasives. “The outcome is an optimized formula that combines the latest bond technology, unique abrasive grain selection and specially matched fiberglass reinforcement.”
The new Toroflex Ceramic flap discs feature advanced ceramic alumina grains that maintain a high cut rate. The flap configuration has been optimized to expose new abrasive cloth, maximizing the disc's effectiveness. The innovative design increases disc life and enhances performance, removing more material and reducing changeovers. In addition, Toroflex Ceramic flap discs have a topcoat that grinds cool, protecting high-value parts from heat discoloration. The discs contain less than 0.1% of iron, sulfur, and chlorine, for contaminant-free grinding of stainless steel and other high-value metal parts. They are available in the standard F29 style.
“The new Toroflex Ceramic flap discs are engineered to deliver superior life and grinding speed,” says Uroš Filipič, product manager, Weiler Abrasives. “This allows users to remove more metal in less time, so they can get more done.”
